Myths about Raw!

Chicken Bones are Dangerous
100% not true! They are soft and flexible and easy for the dog to chew. Never feed a cooked chicken bone because that is highly dangerous. Raw is perfectly fine.

Choking Risk
Every food potentially poses a choking risk. Far more dogs choke on kibble than they do on Raw meaty bones.

Bacteria is bad!
Not for dogs. They have evolved to eat raw meat! Look at their lifestyle - eating poop, licking their bums.....they don't have any issues with the bacteria present in raw meat and it can make their immune systems stronger.

Zoonotic Risk
Some owners worry about the risk of picking up Salmonella from a Raw fed Dog. Well, rest assured, studies have shown you are far more likely to catch it from dog food. Just handle it as you would the Sunday roast that you cook for the family.

It's not complete!
That is a pet food companies unique selling point. Feed your dog variety - and aim for balance over time. Just like you don't need a nutrition degree to feed your family - the same is true of your dog.

Small dogs can't eat Raw!
Certainly not true - I have two small dogs and they both tuck into Raw food with gusto. Regardless of size, all dogs can enjoy a Raw Diet.

Raw fed dogs are bloodthirsty and aggressive
Cannot be further from the truth. Dogs behavior (including aggression) is NOT down to the food you feed them. Same as Raw fed dogs aren't more likely to kill animals - because they don't connect the chicken wing in their bowl to the poultry clucking around your garden - just not how their brain works! If anything, Raw fed dogs are actually less aggressive because they don't have all the chemicals and preservatives in their diet.
